The Courier is a 2021 released film that is based on historical drama. The story features Benedict Cumberbatch as Greville Wynne, a British businessman who was recruited by the Secret Intelligence Service to send messages to secret agent Oleg Penkovsky (played by Merab Ninidze) in the 1960s.
After creating an undesirable partnership with a Soviet officer hoping to prevent a nuclear face-off, the two men work together to provide the crucial intelligence used to defuse the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Without any doubt, Benedict Cumberbatch proves that his acting skills are top notch once again in this cold war. The Courier makes a unique, smart, and extraordinary for the type of old-fashioned period spy thriller that is moving much faster and being turned into binge-watching series for OTT platforms. The history and tension of the times work together to make this a really good experience.
The acting is perfect and have a little humour that is great . It is power-package of much required ingredients. The best part is the chemistry between the lead characters.
