This series is a six-episode live-action adaptation of the Winx Club series. The story is about Bloom who tries to adjust to the otherworld where she needs to learn to control her dangerous powers that are beginning to manifest. She has the power to save as well as destroy both worlds.
It follows around five fairies who are turning into teenagers while attending Alfea, a magical boarding school in the otherworld to perfect their magical powers. There’s going to be everything from magic and love to rivalries and monsters that threaten their existence.
This Netflix series tried to create a fantasy genre, It’s a live-action adaptation of an animated series that is interesting for the older age groups. There’s a magical school to train fairy’s magical powers. The series is quite similar to J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter as they try to reveal some conspiracies and secrets about the lead characters. It begins with Bloom the fire fairy who is a new admission at Alfea after an incident with her parents who are non-magical. She wants to learn to control her powers that are beginning to manifest as it can get dangerous. She eventually bonds with her Four roommates, does teenage things and then mysteries start to roll out. Her roommates Stella, Musa, Aisha, and Terra are quite engaging characters and deal with their individual issues. There’s everything from magic and love to rivalries and monsters that will threaten their existence.
