The first trailer of Wrath of Man is out now and is going to be a revenge thriller. The movie is directed and co-written by Guy Ritchie. The co-writers along with Ritchie AreIvan Atkinson and Marn Davies the producers of the film are Miramax and MGM. This is the fourth time Guy Ritchie is collaborating with the action icon Jason Statham. Some of the latest action movies they worked together on were Snatch and The Gentlemen. This time they are uniting again for an action thriller. The film is going to be released in theatres on May 7. We can make out from the trailer that the movie will have a lot of elements like heists, planned crime, double-crossing, and Jason Statham’s desire that is driving him to take revenge.
In the trailer, we see that the movie follows around a cold, wild-eyed, and Mysterious security guard in a cash truck company. He goes by the name â€Hâ€. There’s a heist where he works and all his co-workers are surprised to unexpectedly see his precise skills i.e. professional level of cash defending skills. Do they start to wonder who he is? Where is he from? One time his co-workers including Josh Hartnett suspected that H was involved in the heist or might be an undercover agent but turns out that’s not true and his intentions are way different and sad compared to that. He wants to know who is in Los Angeles’s criminal hidden under is responsible for his son’s death. Turns out an account is overdrawn, it was post-Malone, the rap superstar. But obviously, we can’t call it a Guy Ritchie movie without any double-cross twist. I’m sure there might be someone on the inside who helped the guys who were a part of the heist, chances are someone who is on Jason Statham’s side might betray him and turn out to be a bad guy. The movie is R-rated because of the strong violence and the language throughout the movie. Later his ultimate motive is shown clearly where it gets quite dramatic and he takes his step forward to settle a score and take his revenge.
The movie has an amazing cast including Jeffrey Donovan, Josh Hartnett, Scott Eastwood, Raul Castillo, and Post Malone. Wrath of Man was supposed to be released on 15th January 2021 but it was postponed due to the pandemic. “Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels†was the first movie where Jason Statham and Ritchie first collaborated in 1998. The two of them together will next be working on “Five Eyesâ€, a Miramax-produced thriller. They’ll be co-starring in the movie with Aubrey Plaza, Hugh Grant, Bugzy Malone, Cary Elwes, and Josh Hartnett.
