Netflix has released the trailer of the Spanish Web Series The Mess You Leave Behind. The show will be streaming on 11th December 2020. The series features Inma Cuesta – The Bride, Aron Piper – Elite, Barbara Lennie – Magical Girl, Roberto EnrÃquez and Tamar Novas. The story is based on a high school teacher, Cuesta who starts a new job at high school in the exact same town from where her husband, Novas comes from.
In the trailer, we get to see how Raquel agrees to take the position as a literature teacher in the Institute Of Secondary Education (IES), located in the fictional town of Novariz. The school is known to be one of the most fascinating places in the entire region of Galicia, which also holds some dark secrets and mysteries. The place was based on such an environment that even the other teachers assumed and predicted that it would be really difficult for Raquel to survive.
A person named Elvira aka Lennie too taught in an equal position just like Raquel. The former had committed suicide and it has been only three weeks since her death. She is shown in flashbacks throughout the trailer, a teacher who had a tenuous relationship with the students at the school.
The situations and the circumstances that are revolving around the death of Elvira are suspicious and the moment when Raquel begins to receive death warnings, she gets extremely scared to live there. She gets so obsessed with the happenings that had taken place with Elvira, that her professional, as well as personal life, gets impacted.
So what must have happened with Elvira? Does Raquel will be able to find out the hints and protect her own life? All the queries will be answered in the movie. The Mess You Leave Behind is a perfect blend of suspense, drama, mystery, and psychological thriller. Moreover, this will be the first Netflix series to have been shot entirely in Galicia, where the story is actually based. It has been co-produced by Vaca Films (Eye for an Eye, Kidnapped).
