The wait has finally come to an end!!!! After making his return with Irudhi Suttru, R Madhavan has been deeply critical in plucking out his scripts. His upcoming film Rocketry The Nambi Effect revolves around the life of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan. In the teaser, Madhavan says, that in this film his name is Nambi Narayanan and he has lived 35 years in rocketry whereas 50 days in prison. His nation had paid the cost of those 50 days and this story is about that. It is not about his particular position.
Rocketry - The Nambi Effect is an upcoming Hindi film based on a biographical drama revolving around the life of Nambi Narayanan, who is a renowned scientist and engineer in aerospace of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) who was blamed for espionage. The film is composed, written, and directed by Madhavan in his directorial debut, who also featured in the pivotal role along with Simran Bagga. The film was shooted simultaneously in three languages Hindi, Tamil, and English, and will also be getting released in the Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu languages.
The story moves across the days of Narayanan being a graduate student at Princeton University, before getting a deeper understanding of his work as a scientist and the fake spying charges charged upon him. Having begun pre-production works in early 2017, the theatrical trailer of the film was launched in April 2021 across six languages. The story plot revolves around the life of the great rocket scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) named Nambi Narayanan. He is head of the cryogenics division, in ISRO. He was falsely blamed for espionage and got arrested in 1994. The trailer portrays Nambi Narayanan (represented by Madhavan) as an arrogant genius who wants to place India on the map when it gets to the commercial satellite market. The trailer portrays how his patriotism became his failure and he got arrested for trading plans of India’s space program to other foreign countries. All accusations against him were dismissed by the Supreme Court in the year 1998.

Madhavan, who went through an intense physical transformation for the role, will be portraying Nambi Narayanan from the ages of 27 to 70. The only fake addition to the transition was making him old for the character. Simran will be representing the female role, and it denotes a reunion for her with Madhavan on-screen after around 15 years. The film also stars many Hollywood actors.
The total cost of this movie is around over 100 crores, and will also star cast SRK and Suriya in the Hindi as well as Tamil versions. Rocketry was shot in more than six countries and was fixed to get released last year, but however, got postponed due to COVID-19.
Hrithik Roshan was completely amazed after watching the Rocketry trailer because after that this is what he tweeted. He tweeted that everybody says all good things take time but he calls it the Maddy effect! This MAD cinema admirer aka writer, director, and storyteller. He said not to miss out on this flight of Rocketry. Enjoy the trailer.
Employing as the main in-charge of the cryogenics division at ISRO, Narayanan anticipated the requirement for liquid-fuelled engines for the upcoming civilian space programs of ISRO and brought into the technology system in India as early as the time in the 1970s. The exact technology which in future was accused of selling by him.
In the year 1992, ISRO fixed a deal with Russia for the deportation of technology in order to improve cryogenic-based fuels. Nevertheless, due to pressure from France and the US on Russia, the deal was canceled. However, a new accord with Russia was signed to manufacture four cryogenic engines without making any formal shift of a technology. Tenders were drifted and a general agreement had already arrived at Kerala Hitech Industries Limited, which would have offered the cheapest tender for making engines. But, at the top of his career, the scientist got fixed in the ISRO spy case.
In the year October 1994, under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act 1946 and Section 7 of the Foreigners Order, 1948, Kerala police in Thiruvananthapuram had filed a case against Mariam Rasheeda.
The starting charges raised against her were of residing in India for more than a limit followed by the postponement of her flight to the Maldives. Regarding her interrogation, the police created out a case that she had informed ISRO space scientists who were targeted of having shifted from cryogenic engine technology to Pakistan by her. And the next month, the police arrested Narayanan along with another ISRO scientist, named D. Sasikumaran. The police case was that Sasikumaran and Narayanan had transferred hidden files to other countries, mainly Pakistan. The scientists that were arrested were deeply targeted by Intelligence Bureau sleuths, plus Gujarat-cadre R B Sreekumar, IPS officer who was then IB additional director in Kerala.
Within around 20 days of the case being filed, the investigation was carried over to the CBI. In 1996, it surrendered its closure report at the court of the chief judicial magistrate in Kochi, saying that the accusations of spying were not proven and are fake. The court chose the closure report, taking to the discharge of all those who had been implied. In 1996, CPI made the government try to investigate again about the case, which was later destroyed by the Supreme court on the appeal made by the scientist.
The trailer of the film has started getting popular on Twitter. Madhavan expressed his gratitude to his fans for their support. He wrote, that the film is TRENDING AT NUMBER ONE in less than an hour. we at Team Rocketry are humbled .. unable to express our gratitude. Thank you all for all the love."
The actual release date of Rocketry - The Nambi Effect hasn't been confirmed but, according to the trailer, it will release by Summer 2021.
