Netflix dropped the trailer of the new anthology series Ray on Tuesday 8, 2021. Ray is a Netflix original series based on the short stories of Satyajit Ray. The Anthologies in this series are based on the four short Stories named ‘ Forget Me Not, ‘ Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa’, ‘ Bahrupiya’, and ‘Spotlight’. The show stars actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Gajraj Rao, Kay Kay Menon, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Ali Fazal, Shweta Basu, Harshvardhan Kapoor, Radhika Madan, Chandan Roy, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor. To portray the characters written by Satyajit Ray in the stories. The series is directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Srijit Mukherji, and Vasan Bala. The makers have told they will be keeping the originality of Satyajit Ray’s writing in all Four stories.
The stories are based on them of Love, Lust, Truth, and Betrayal. The story Forget Me Not will be acted out by Srijit Mukherjee. The story Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa is about two travelers who meet on the train performed by Gajraj Rao and Manoj Bajpyee, In Bahrupiya the story will enact by Kay Kay Menon and Bidita Bag and Lastly Spotlight stars Harshvardhan Kapoor. The trailer starts with a voice saying that humans or mankind are equal to god because they create humans, after one by one all the characters are introduced in the trailer.
Ali Fazal is shown as an intelligent person who has great memory power like computers, Second one is Harshvardhan Kapoor he is a superstar actor famous for his God-like Divine look especially in girls. Manoj Bajpayee plays the role of a Ghazal Singer name Musafir Ali who has lost his fame over the years and meets a stranger on a train, who changes his life. The role of the stranger is played by Gajraj Rao, And lastly Bahrupiya the story acted out by Kay Kay Menon is a makeup artist, Despite having a stable job he shows his interest in being the Makeup Artist.
All four stories show their fair share of ups and downs in the journey, with the toss of different shades of their personalities, The characters have various emotional tolerance in the story and portray their characters with different personalities. There is a sense of quirkiness, weirdness, and humor in the story journey of Ray.
